In the ninth inning with the bases loaded and the Beavers trailing Brandeis, 11-9, Rick Loewenstein takes a pitch low and outside vs. Brandeis. Three pitches later, on a 2-1 count, Loewy drilled a three-run triple to give Babson a thrilling 12-11 win. His heroics helped earn him "Athlete of the Week" honors. Freshman Steve Bowen delivers a single, in the Beavers' 18-7 thrashing
 of the Framingham State Rams. The hit plated Rob McCulloch, who was on third base
following a triple. The action was part of a five-run uprising in the third inning.
