1B Scott Smith starts it around-the-horn
 following a putout at first.

Scott Weiler safely back to first on an attempted pickoff vs. MIT. Weiler had arrived at first on a basehit to left.

The Beaver bench during the MIT game. Paul Philbin is nearest, sitting next to Mike Dayton. Standing next to the water bucket is Tim Keane and that's Brock Romano leaning against the backstop.

Big Joe Burkett rounding third and heading home
on his mammoth home run vs. UMass-Boston, as the Beacons pitcher can only watch.
Joe was 4 for 5 on the day.

George Ryan behind the plate for the Beavers vs. MIT. That's legendary
player-turned-umpire, Walt Mortimer, as the man in blue.

Bill Croteau slides safely back to first on the
 UMass-Boston catcher's attempted pickoff.

Scott Weiler applies the tag to the UMass-Boston runner trying to stretch a single, with umpire Walt Mortimer is good position to make the call. Scott Smith (17) watches the action. Smith had a good day at the plate, going 3 for 4.

Southpaw Steve Davidson fires to the UMass-Boston batter. Davidson fanned 11 in his complete game
10-4 victory over the Beacons. The 11 K's set a new standard for Beaver pitchers and today ranks fourth on the all-time list for single-game strikeouts.

Bob Feldman tries to beat out an
 infield roller vs. Bates.

LF Chris Starr ready for action vs. MIT in Babson's
final home game of the '84 campaign. Starr had
two doubles and a single, knocking in three runs,
to pace the Beaver 7-5 victory. The senior also gunned
down an MIT runner at the plate to end an Engineer threat in the 7th inning.

Bill Croteau gloves it at first to retire the MIT hitter.
