Paul Philbin belts a bases-loaded triple vs. Bowdoin.
Philbin's clutch hit came in the bottom of the 7th inning, when the Beavers erupted
for eight runs on the way to a come-from-behind 10-8 victory over the Polar Bears.

3B Paul Ostberg and SS Jim Agebedis play in to try to prevent an MIT run.

Mark Gagne drives a basehit up the middle
to plate a run vs.Coast Guard.

Paul Philbin races around third on his way
to scoring a run vs. Clark.

Brock Romano loaded up and ready to launch in the Beaver 1986 opener at Daytona.

Scott Stone gets a lead off first, just before being tossed out at second, on a 6-4-3 doubleplay vs. Brandeis.

Against Salve Regina, SS Jim Agebedis takes a pitch he thought was high, but which the umpire called a strike. Agebedis singled to left on the next pitch.

In the March warmth of Daytona, southpaw
Dennis Fritchman heats up with George Ryan behind the plate and Chris Fraga in the batter's box.

A focused Bob Gorton looks for a pitch to hit.

Coach Gary Stockbridge waves a flying
John Hanewich around third and toward
home with the tie-breaking run in
 the Beaver victory over Bowdoin.

Keystone sacker Kevin McLaughlin guns out the runner after going up the middle to make a great backhanded play and firing to first. The action came in the opener of a twinbill vs. Clark. McLaughlin did it with the bat, too, banging a double and a triple to help pace the Beavers. Clark won the opener, 10-8 and the Beavers came back to win the nightcap, 16-5.

RHP Tim Keane gets ready to throw to a Tufts
batter who, on this pitch, grounded out, short to first.

He's out! Initial sacker Mike Dayton stretches
for the throw to erase the MIT runner.
