|
Greg Foster ’96, ex-Beaver catcher, two-year captain, and MVP, is among the first class of inductees to the King Philip Regional High School Athletics Hall of Fame. A 1992 KP graduate, Foster was a three-sport star in basketball, football, and baseball. On the gridiron, he played both ways, as a quarterback and as a linebacker. The two-time All-Hockomock League All-Star was selected to the 1992 Eastern Massachusetts Division III All-Star team as a linebacker and that same year was voted the Hockomock League’s Defensive MVP. Foster held down the hot corner for the King Philip 9, and was a three-time All-Hockomock League All-Star, leading KP in hitting. In 1992, he earned recognition as the Hockomock League Scholar-Athlete of the Year. In 1991, Foster led the Southeast baseball team to the Gold Medal in the Bay State Games. Induction ceremonies will be held November 10, 2007 at Luciano's on Lake Pearl in Wrentham.
